What is attorney registration?
Beginning in 2016 and every year thereafter, all active members of the Bar, an active member of the Bar for purposes of the registration requirement is any individual authorized to practice law in the Virgin Islands in any capacity, whether regularly admitted, specially admitted, admitted pro hac vice, or licensed as a certified in-house counsel, foreign legal consultant, legal intern, or military spouse and whether or not in good standing, shall pay a $50.00 annual assessment fee and file an Annual Registration Statement with the Office of Disciplinary Counsel every year, for as long as the attorney remains duly admitted to the Virgin Islands Bar.

How can I pay my Attorney Registration Fee?
Payments can be made online via credit card, ATH, electronic check, via mail or in person at the Supreme Court's offices. Checks should be made payable to the Supreme Court of the Virgin Islands – Office of Disciplinary Counsel.

How much is my annual fee?
In accordance with VISCR 203(e), all active members of the Bar shall be required to register with the Office of Disciplinary Counsel on an annual basis and pay a $50.00 annual assessment fee. In accordance said Rule, attorneys who fail to register and remit payment on or before February 1st, shall be required to pay a $200.00 fee which includes the $150.00 late fee in addition to the $50.00 assessment.

When do I register?
Beginning in 2017 and in all years thereafter, the Annual Registration Statement and annual assessment fee is due on January 1st. On February 2nd to March 1st a late fee of $150.00 will be assessed in addition to $50.00 registration fee. The Office of Disciplinary Counsel is authorized to seek an attorney's automatic suspension on or after March 2nd for any attorney who fails to comply with the provisions of VISCR 203(e).

What happens if I failed to register early?
Attorneys who fail to register and remit payment on or before February 1st shall be required to pay a $150.00 late fee in addition to the $50.00 assessment.

In accordance VISCR 203(e), attorneys who fail to register and remit payment on or before February 1st, shall be required to pay a $200.00 fee which includes the $150.00 late fee in addition to the $50.00 assessment.
